Emits heat evenly and feels secure. Worn about 2 weeks.
Hangs about 30cm above the incubator and the temperature is about 85-95°F degrees depending on the temperature outside the incubator (70-75°F). If you insulate the brooder, it can get warmer. The incubator used here is 2 feet long, 1 foot wide, and 1 foot high. I wouldn't use it closer than a foot to the chickens. The lamp feels very hot.
