Overall I was in doubt as to how much space this would give me and if it would hold up in the rain. In terms of space, I was completely satisfied and am glad that this purchase was made. This pannier will come in handy for camping and future car trips. In terms of waterproofing, I wouldn't say the bag withstands heavy rain for days. I noticed high humidity after a few days - when I pulled my comforters off the top, some parts were wet. This could be because the flap wasn't over the zip and the small amount of water that got in was soaked up by the duvet - not sure. Although the rest of the items were dry.
