This is a great product! I wanted to use a brass thumbscrew for the front door step light. The Phillips screws were a hassle when removing the cover to replace the lamp so I went looking for a thumb nut but found something much more useful with these thumb screws. They look fantastic, fit perfectly and fit into the mount - after I tapped them with a #8 tap (the mount came with metric #19 screws which was another reason to replace them). These screws look great and are made to not tarnish - at least not too quickly. A bit of patina would be fine for my application as the mount I used it with has a nautical look.
