Great machine in the Traditional Notebook category

This is a great little machine that makes a great second computer. Admittedly, if you're used to looking at the MacBook Pro's gorgeous Retina display, this pales in comparison. If you don't want to lug around your expensive Macbook Pro (with its hard drive with everything close and dear to you!), this Chromebook is perfect. Pros: - Starts FAST, almost instantly. It's great when I want to open the device and take some notes. -- Light and thin, fits in my purse -- Comfortable and responsive keyboard (For iPad owners, this keyboard is a huge plus. Easier to get real tasks done Logitech Bluetooth keyboards are great for iPad, but just can't match the native keyboard be compared built-in keyboard). -- Loads pages without lag even with multiple tabs open (I have 4GB of RAM - 2GB might be slower) -- Cheap! 1/10th the cost of my Macbook Pro! I don't have to worry so much about losing the state if it fails. Cons: - For a sub-$200 device, it's hard to argue with cons. But the main problem I have is that the screen resolution is not very good. When switching between this Chromebook and one of my Apple devices, I immediately notice poor resolution. However, this resolution is par for the course for all 11.6-inch Chromebooks in this price range, across brands (larger Chromebooks seem to have more higher-resolution options). Also, your eyes will adjust after a few minutes of use and the resolution doesn't seem like a big deal. The difference is most noticeable when switching between Retina devices and this Chromebook.
