I bought this for my daughter for homework and needed to replace it before the end of the school year. So of course not satisfied with the quality. It supports many educational applications and is easy to set up and get started. If you're a snob when it comes to image sharpness and keyboard feel, you'll find that it's just average in that regard. Not bad but average. Might be a good buy for a young student or anyone who is not an avid computer user. We didn't really have any problems with him…

Surprisingly good product!

I didn't know much about Chromebooks and I didn't care because I was a firm believer in a tablet and that in 2017 your phone was all you really needed. I have a PC but everyone uses it except me, I just haven't used it. Like life things change and sometimes you feel like you are missing out in terms of performance like I did with my trusty tablet. I bought a Chromebook to get more done on the go, and being a disk-driven user it seemed logical to do so. I honestly have to say it works and is the

Better than my expectations

The Chromebook, although cheap for its looks, is still in very good condition. I am very happy with them. Pros: The display works great despite bad reviews and is a quality display for the price. The speakers work pretty well. I wouldn't say the sound quality is good, but it's adequate and louder than a regular phone speaker. The size and feel of the keyboard is perfect. The camera works perfectly. (not HD) Android is available in developer mode. With Android apps, it sometimes works just as…

Very nice device apart from a headache when printing

I've been using this Chromebook for about 7 months. I used to have a netbook and liked its form factor and simplicity. This Chromebook is good in many ways. I don't use it every day and find I need to charge it about once a week. This is a super fast download. I had no problem setting up free cloud storage for 2 years. The keyboard and trackpad suit me. It's a solid device and I really enjoy using it. I have a complaint. Printing is a pain in the ass. If you don't have a Google Cloud-enabled…

Lower battery life after 3 years

Bought a Chromebook 3 in March 2017 to replace my Chromebook 2 for two upgrade features: longer battery life (10-11 hours) and updated Wi-Fi 802.11ac . 3 provided good service and the price was worth it. However, after 3 years of almost daily use, a fully charged battery only lasts about 6 hours. I also found myself wishing I had a Chromebook with a backlit keyboard. My Chromebooks (2 & 3) were purchased as an add-on to my iMac desktop and have done their job very well. Especially for travel…

Just right for the elders in your family

Bought for my husband for his birthday. I've given him one before so he knows how to use it. He never wanted to have anything to do with computers or upgraded mobile phones. I surprised him and created a FB account to keep up with family and share family photos. Google user account. So he can save all his photos so they don't get blocked on his old phones. Now they go straight to his Google account from his phone and all he has to do is take photos. He loves to. When he got it, I showed him how

This is a Chromebook, I should have understood before I bought it

I bought it to do some online courses. I quickly realized that you can't install most programs, can't run Quickbooks, need internet access for everything, and Google logs all my data. 2 months later I bought a decent laptop with SSD and Windows so I can run Quickbooks, Office and whatever else I want to tinker with in the future. As far as Chromebooks go, it's good/great value for money. Just make sure you really need a Chromebook before you buy one. Chromebooks are very different from standard

If I had to rebuild, I would choose a different model.

I had two of these. The first was replaced due to hardware issues. The general function is ok. I'm not against design for the most part. HDMI port, 2 USB ports, mini SD memory card port, decent screen size. The keyboard is also relatively comfortable. Chrome OS isn't that bad, but it has its limitations. I installed Linux on it once, but uninstalled it due to some issues (I can turn it back on when I have time). However, I'm having a few issues with this Chromebook, and the same issues occurred

Great machine in the Traditional Notebook category

This is a great little machine that makes a great second computer. Admittedly, if you're used to looking at the MacBook Pro's gorgeous Retina display, this pales in comparison. If you don't want to lug around your expensive Macbook Pro (with its hard drive with everything close and dear to you!), this Chromebook is perfect. Pros: - Starts FAST, almost instantly. It's great when I want to open the device and take some notes. -- Light and thin, fits in my purse -- Comfortable and responsive…
