my bird loves this thing! I have an older rescue parrot who is so scared of new things but he jumped straight onto the perch and started chewing. It works great as an automatic feeder for regular size pellets. My toddler prefers Lafeber's Nutri-Berries, which fit but are so unusually large that I have to manually help him clean up debris and refresh the donor area with new balls. Honestly my only regret is that he has to walk in the door because he likes it so much I would love to put two more in, one with seeds and one with regular pellets because he likes this feeder so much that he neglects it his eaters. .
