Terrible Guarantee! for tire fitting

I bought this tire pressure gauge because of the manufacturer's reputation and a lifetime guarantee. I soon noticed that the pressure readings were lower than other gauges I have. The manometer doesn't hold any readings either, air just rushes out. According to the manufacturer it's easy to fix, you just have to unclog the valve, which I've done a couple of times, but it didn't take long for it to start leaking again. So I decided to take advantage of the lifetime guarantee and contacted GH Meiser. & Co. and was told I would have to pay $10 ($5 shipping and $5 parts and labor). If I have to pay for repairs, how is that a guarantee? I decided to buy another tire gauge for about the same price they were willing to pay for warranty repairs. I will not buy this brand again!
