I was really delighted to receive this set of two accent lights. They were very easy to install with clear instructions and are pretty good value for money. However, the shades need to be considered. They might be perfect with an Edison style LED bulb, but it just won't work with a regular opaque warm white or daylight bulb. There needs to be an opaque background between the lampshade and the bulb for two reasons: 1) We wanted to install them on an entertainment wall in our living room on either side of the TV/bookshelf. Who wants to look at a lightbulb? 2) Even with LED lamps, metal lampshades can get hot. Again, an opaque filter, like a standard lampshade between the metal and the bulb, would be a definite improvement. I'm deducting a star for these two design flaws. We also decided to use a different set of lamps where we wanted to install them.
