All of these items are useful. I mostly use orange colored plastic pieces to remove dirt from the sink. The teeth on them are such that they can be easily ripped off if you're not careful. Be sure to gently pull it out and move it from side to side if it starts to snag to avoid damage. While I haven't had to use the capture tool yet, it's nice to have one if you have young kids. One of my kids put a box of cotton swabs in the shower drain holes, which dropped a few feet before turning. I had to use such a tool to fish them all out. I used a mini snake tool on a clogged sink after using one of the orange tools to make sure there wasn't another clog. It has a curve near the handle which makes it much easier to turn. I used to pay almost the asking price for five orange instruments. The grip and serpentine aren't heavy, but the quality is better than I expected. Overall this set is great.
