This is the first air purifier I have ever used or bought. Before purchasing I did a little research online to see if they are really necessary or worth it. I decided to give it a try. We are not good at changing our air filters in our house, we have 3 kids and 2 cats. Therefore, we have a lot of dust and smells. Because air quality is important to me, I have live plants at home that help oxygenate the air. I was hoping this would eliminate odors, especially cat litter. We have an older cat who doesn't always use her litter box. I've tried taking the box to countless places and it has to be in our formal dining room or it'll end up on the carpet. It's gross, but apart from getting rid of the cat, I've tried everything. Enter the Air Purifier. I no longer have to worry about my house smelling like a liter crate. I use plug-in air fresheners to mask the smell, but I've read they're not good for the home either (who knows). I put it next to the liter box and it definitely helps against the smell. It's nice that our air quality has also improved. I am planning to buy another larger air purifier for the attic. I found it very easy to set up and use. I hate reading manuals and when gadgets or gadgets have a lot of 'steps'. The filter is supposed to last 6-8 months so it's not a lot of maintenance which is great for our busy home.
