A small problem made it unusable for me. (Revision)

Very nice materials and design. It appeared to be a quality tool, but a small issue made it totally unsuitable for my work. The sliding depth gauge fitted the drill guides perfectly until you locked it in place with the set screw. The gap between the slider and the ruler is too large, so that the stop tilts when the locking screw is tightened. Mine is angled 1/16" on a 5" grip. Not much, but the handles on the doors were noticeably crooked. If I left the set screw loose enough to stay close to square it would move. Fixed: It was decided that the material is worth fixing the issue with this contraption. Got a solid idea from a previous reviewer (see the 4 star reviews for the great details). I went with a depth gauge shim (see photo) and then I fine tuned it with a layer of aluminum tape. Lots of measurements with a micrometer and then checking the drill bits before being sure I was going to drill through my new kitchen cabinets. Once dialed it was a great tool and I drilled 35 doors and drawers without a single mistake. I'm not changing my one star rating because the manufacturer needs to know that the mount has a tolerance issue that makes it impossible to fit a two-hole grip to get a square shape.

Cons
