Review on πŸ› Crayola Bathtub Markers & Crayons with Bonus Extras - Creative Fun in the Tub! by Summer Hendricks

Great entertainment for kids. pain for the parents!

This is my second order of Crayola bath sticks. My 1.5 year old daughter loves them. She is easy to write. Only problem is when they run out you have to click on them to push the crayon forward and my daughter tends to press too hard and break them so they move really fast when under pressure break. They are also very difficult to clean out of the tub. I wait for her to come out and wipe the bathtub down with a chlorox wipe which makes cleaning MUCH easier. If you have a tile and it goes into the grout, it won't come out, so it's a nightmare. If you can avoid tile grout, you're spot on. My daughter loves crayons so it's worth it. Crayola markers had bad reviews but I saw this Crayola set that had them for essentially the same price so I decided to give them a try. At first my daughter was excited to use them, but when I opened the packaging and she tried to use them, she couldn't apply enough pressure to make them work. I read this from other reviewers. I agree. The child cannot press hard enough to draw with them. I could paint with them, but I had to press down really hard and they were so dull that most of the colors were barely visible. My daughter threw them away and/or started banging them frantically on the tub and then went back to the crayons. I definitely do not recommend markers for children under 3 years old. That's what it says on the box. Even for kids over 3 years old you can't see colors so it's pointless. The colors are pale and will fade instantly when you paint them. The only plus I've seen is that they wash off a lot easier since they're almost see-through. I have included photos below. It's difficult to draw something with markers and they run instantly. I ended up throwing them away. Update: Clean up after colored pencils. They recommend rinsing the crayons out of the bath as soon as possible, which I agree with them, the sooner you do this the easier it is. I've used washcloths so I can wash while my baby is still in the tub, but they don't completely remove the crayons. I have tried Clorox clean up wipes which can only be used after my baby is out of the tube and multiple wipes are required. It's still a problem. Lastly, I used a couple of delicate Pampers cleaning wipes when my LO took a bath and it was not only safe but saved me tons of cleaning time. Grout is still a problem - if the chalk gets on the grout I still haven't found a good way to remove it.
