After many hours of research and confusion I finally installed this on my Ender 3 and it worked. The whole experience was a big pain, the instructions are unclear etc and the installation depends on many factors. It's definitely not something newbies want, and to be honest it's more of a luxury buy, especially if you have a glass build platform. I'm still struggling with sticking and it was still a few hours of tweaking. Here are some tips so you don't get confused like me: 1. BEFORE YOU BUY Make sure your Ender 3 has the correct board (e.g. 4.2.2 or 4.2.7). This shouldn't be a problem for most users as newer Ender 3 printers come with a 4.2.2 card while older versions don't have this card and require a different kit and adapters. You can check this by looking at the center of the panel that shows which version you have.2. You need to install new firmware. For 4.2.2 boards you need to search for "firmware 4.2.2 bl touch" as the instructions don't say so. At the time of this writing, it was on a poorly maintained page deep within the Creality forums website. Click on "Ender 3" in the navigation bar and scroll down. Here you can download Ender-3-V4.2.2 Marlin2.0.1-BL-Touch-V1.1.2 (no adapter board) uploaded on August 29, 2020. Check out version 4.2.2 and version 4.2.7 and make sure you have the correct version installed. As the Teaching Tech says on Youtube (BLtouch for any 3D printer - detailed step-by-step guide), it is important to set the BL Touch so that it is about 3mm away from the build plate. There is also leeway when screwing on the BL Touch bracket.
