As an IT professional at my church, I was asked to host a live stream during the 2020 pandemic quarantine. I bought a Canon Vixia HF R800 camcorder and was hoping to pair it with Elgato Camlink. However, I couldn't find Camlink, so I settled on the Live Gamer Mini. During my research before buying, I read various reviews about the device. However, my experience with this device is very good. To get my stream online I use a Windows 10 laptop with OBS. I connected the camera to the Live Gamer Mini and the Mini to the computer. Worked perfectly the first time. Windows has recognized the device. There were no drivers to download or install. While I don't know how this device compares to others, it works great for our purposes. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is just starting out in live streaming and wants to save some money compared to similar Elgato devices.
