Although these are sold as kitchen and food use, I actually bought these for my granddaughter to use as she learns to use her new rotary cutter for quilting and sewing. A terrific buy, since you can use the glove for either hand. This 2 pair pack gives you 4 gloves for the price of one of the gloves in the sewing notions department. I have compared this glove to my sewing/craft one, and see no difference. The fit is great. I ordered a small and they fit my small hands well. My granddaughter is 13 yrs. old with slightly longer fingers than mine and they also work well for her. The material even seems a little more closely woven which might offer greater protection. None of these types of gloves are completely cut proof, but they do offer reasonable protection from accidental cuts. One pair has a red band at the top and other pair has a black band. If you are using these for food, the different color bands can designate one pair for meats and the other for veggies. The gloves are also washable.
