The camera is better than the typical built-in laptop and has a wide angle but falsely claims to be 1080p HD and whatnot. It's not like this. I'm no resolution expert, but having enough 720p+ videos on YouTube and having a portable camera that captures 1080p might be a good guess. It's somewhere between 480 and 960. Not HD at all. But it's still better than the laptop's built-in camera, and it's cheap. You can't expect gold when you pay copper prices.
