Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Wiktor elazny ᠌

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

Do not trust the comments left by tire users. After all, everything is known in comparison. What are the people who write reviews here comparing to? With tires that were last winter on another car? Read better tire tests in automotive magazines, better than European ones, and draw your own conclusions. Well, who is too lazy to read, I can briefly tell you that these tires appeared last year and immediately showed the best performance among competitors in the "braking" nomination due to the unusual stud shape at that time. Other characteristics (acceleration on ice and snow, stability when driving on the highway, noise, characteristics on asphalt and slush, etc.) were not the best, but at a height. Only in corners on ice, a car shod with these tires did not show good results. Seduced by the high performance and moderate price, I also purchased these tires. However, this year, in one of the tests, these tires failed, showing the worst results among competitors in the disciplines "time of passage on an icy track", "reliability of control on ice", "acceleration on snow". Other characteristics have deteriorated as well. The reason for this, according to the experts of that same auto magazine, was too deeply planted spikes. The tested tires were produced in Poland. As for my tires, I skated them all winter. Sometimes it skidded, sometimes it slowed down until the ABS was activated. Lost two spikes. Made in 2022.

Pros
  • Short braking distance on ice and snow, high efficiency.
Cons
  • Low grip in the transverse direction (early demolishes in corners), not stable quality.
