Review on Enhanced Safety: Sensorcon Industrial CO Carbon Monoxide Monitor - Visual, Audible, and Vibrating Alerts, Waterproof by Daniel Evans

A real-time carbon monoxide alarm is much more accurate than a cumulative consumer alarm

The consumer-style, wall-mounted carbon monoxide alarm only checks carbon monoxide exposure over time. However, young children and the elderly may be more sensitive. This device works in real-time and can detect CO leaks, which traditional wall-mounted devices cannot. I would rather know if there is a CO leak from a gas appliance, water heater or stove before spending hours exposed to a CO leak. Cracks in the firebox can only appear after the firebox is fully heated and the crack widens. After hours of leaking a cracked firebox, who wants to breathe in CO? The gravity triggers need to fully warm up before they fall completely, which usually takes about 10 minutes. Then it's best to check them for backdraft, such as: B. a bird's nest on top of a flu pipe. This device eliminates all doubts about CO leakage without having to wait 8-10 days or a week. A quick review of carbon monoxide alarm websites will explain why. However, one thing should not be forgotten. The device will reach its end of life in approximately two years and its sensor will need to be replaced. Buying new may be cheaper than sending it to the factory for repair.
