Sometimes great; not at other times.

This type of pre-sealed plastic is very good for painting. I had to spray paint the house and this stuff is great for sticking to an aluminum ceiling and flipping the faceplate. The static electricity makes it stick to surfaces and that really helps. The big problem with blue tape is that it won't stick to painted surfaces. Specifically, I first painted my trim with white semi-gloss latex. The next day I figured I could just tape it off with blue edge protection tape, but when I was halfway taped off the garage doors and trim the blue tape started falling off - there was nothing I could do to get the thing to stick. The blue tape on this pre-sealed plastic is the same. So the tape has to do something about it. As a side benefit, I decided to try the frog tape. It's about the same price and it sticks like crazy. Somehow the tape and frog tape have to come together on the pre-sealed plastic.
