I installed these recessed lights as I didn't want to remove the entire vinyl ceiling to place actual cans on the ceiling of my indoor porch since it gets dark earlier. I grill a lot in the evening and the ceiling light fan doesn't cut anymore. I decided to install these lights based on the mostly positive reviews and went with the 3000k option as my eyes don't really like white. I am very impressed that I ordered 12 packs and used 8 of them on my patio. The color temperature and brightness are exactly what I was looking for and it looks great. The feathers hold the light well on the vinyl and aren't too heavy on the vinyl. I installed 2x6 junction boxes on the vinyl. I have no complaints yet, will update if any issues arise. I will be placing an order for a basement ceiling as I only have 2 ceiling fans with dark floors, dark walls and ceiling. Overall a great product!
