Bought this dress in a small size as an option for family photos. I'm beyond impressed with how awesome it is! The lining is soft and reaches about mid-thigh. The outer material is a little transparent and so beautiful. With a drawstring waist, it flatters many body types and also fits a wide range of sizes. The ruffles around the neck give it a designer touch, as does the bow at the back of the head. I got so many compliments on this dress! For reference, I'm 5ft 8in, waist 27, and I ordered a size small. I wore flats with him and he was the perfect floor length. If you want to wear heels and are tall, you should choose one size larger.
