Fix what I needed. but overall wrong design
This is the second top shelf of the Kitchenaid dishwasher that I have completed. This replacement part is necessary because the original design is terrible. Who in their right mind would trust two little plastic faucets on each side to support the weight of a full dish rack? Plastic becomes brittle after years of heat drying. At my last apartment, several plates were smashed when the top shelf came loose and collapsed. Again, this is the replacement part you need and it's easy to install. But shame on Kitchenaid for the poor overall design.
