Nice set of adapters and it's so easy to remove the adapters without damaging the useful storage bracket

I've read all the horrible reviews warning of bloody injuries when adapters are removed from the bracket. So when I got my adapter set (which is awesome by the way!) I took a close look to see how I could remove the adapters without amputating my fingers. I have found that with a little care the adapters are not only safe to remove but also easy to put on and take off making the brace a handy tool for storing easily lost adapters. How it works: The drum must be rotated 90Β° before you can remove the adapter from the black plastic drum on which it is mounted. However, if you look closely at the drum from the side (Photo 2) you will see that two protrusions hold the drum in place and prevent it from rotating. If you look closely (photo 5) you can see that the drum itself shows what needs to be done to release it - there is a small picture of wire cutters and the word CUT. A similar pair of protrusions (unmarked) are on the other side of each drum. Using small wire cutters, cut the right tab along the line indicated by the red arrow in Photo 1. Photo 3 shows the drum in its original condition and the other with the right tongue cut off. Go to the other side of the drum and cut off the same right tongue. Cut two right tabs for each of the other three drums. Small wire cutters (as opposed to standard sized wire cutters) make it easier to access the inner ledges where the drums are closely spaced. Eight right-hand tabs allowed the drums to rotate so the adapters could be removed. Here's what you need to do to remove the adapter. First of all, don't pay attention to the words OPEN and CLOSE stamped on the reels (visible in the pictures). Using standard pliers, grasp the square end of the ball bearing adapter and rotate it 90Β° COUNTERCLOCKWISE. This releases the lock and you can now use pliers to remove the adapter from the bracket. If you have strong hands, you can easily twist and remove the adapter without pliers. Photo 4 shows the mount with the four adapter positions in the unlocked position and the adapters removed. With the adapter kit purchased, the adapters fit snugly enough that there is little risk of the adapter being ripped off and lost. To be on the safe side - for example if the adapter set jumps around the back of the pickup for a while - the adapters can be attached to the holder again. (Again, ignore the words OPEN and CLOSE embossed on the drums.) After installing all the adapters, rotate each one 90Β° CLOCKWISE. The two remaining left tabs on each drum hold them in place, securing the adapters to the mount. Perhaps these tips will help you avoid damaging a really useful holder for storing and transporting adapters. I am very happy with this inexpensive but seemingly high quality adapter set and will buy one for every place I use multi-disc socket sets.
