Overall, I'm pleased with the light; my initial reservations were based on the length of the cable, but I've now grown accustomed to working around it. Advantages that vary: The light fixture was perfect for my needs. The lamp's leg can be easily moved for optimal viewing. A white light with black accents was my gift, and it's quite stylish (there were still red details in the picture, they were not). Many drawbacks: One star deducted since I failed to take into account the 120-centimeter length of the included cord. The length is standard, but the switch is about halfway along those 120 centimeters, meaning that you'll need to lay half the cord out on the table (to reach the switch) and stretch the other half out to the floor. The fact that the connection is routed behind the table was a major source of frustration for me. The issue is moot if you want to side-pass the cord. To compensate for the tiny size of the ceiling fixture, I installed a smaller lamp that is still adequate for reading and studying.
