Review on 🔧 Enhance Your Neato Robotics Vacuum with the Neato Replacement Kit, Multi by Tamara Gruzella

Firstly the product arrived safe and sound and everything in it is as advertised. I bought this for regular maintenance on my Neato Botvac D7. While there's usually nothing to write about with a regular maintenance kit, I felt like there were enough changes to say something. Both the brush and filters have been changed since I last had to order them. The biggest change was in the air filters. Previous Neato Ultra Performance filters I've ordered in the past had a little lateral play when installed in the case and I noticed some fine dust on the back of the filter as well as in the area where the fan motor is located . So not a perfect seal. This new design has much tighter tolerances in the plastic construction so there is no more lateral play. As the biggest improvement, they've finally added a rubber gasket to the filter! I no longer notice fine dust accumulations on the back of the filter or where the fan motor is located. The filter material is also different, as is the mesh coverage. The previous mesh coating kept pet hair off well and seemed to extend the life of the filter somewhat, but the mesh was thicker and felt stiffer than the new design. The new design seems more prone to pet hair getting stuck in the holes, but it seems to make breathing easier. The double edged sword here is that it should help improve suction and increase the amount of dirt/dust trapped, as filters may need to be replaced more frequently as they trap dirt/dust better. (I have not used my filter long enough to confirm its expected lifespan). Another design change is the brush strip. It's not a big change, so I don't know if it makes a big difference. The orange side now has a larger wheel shape than before, and the hard floor mops on that side are no longer angled to allow better access to that edge of the plank. I don't know yet if the other side with the bearing is better sealed than before, time will tell. Previous brushes tended to pick up hairs and tilt to that side, interfering with bearing and forcing Botvac to work harder, spinning the brush and wearing it out faster. The side brush does not seem to differ from the previous one. and the cleaning tool is also the same, except it's now black instead of white. All in all, these are very welcome improvements! Hopefully this will help improve my D7's cleaning performance and extend its lifespan by minimizing the amount of dirt/dust passing through the filter. Until Neato starts selling these filters separately I highly recommend purchasing this replacement set to get better filters for your Botvac. 5 Stars.
