Review on Rev Up Your Running πŸƒ with New Balance Arishi Silver Men's Shoes by Jacob Schmidt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love Aryan. However, it's inconsistent.

This is my fourth pair of New Bslance Arishi men's shoes. I like them because they shrink quickly and don't pinch the legs. I have arthritis and they are very comfortable. They don't have much outsole support and the outsole flexes on uneven surfaces. But my ankles are also prone to arthritis, so a flexible foot takes the torque off my ankles. These shoes are not deep enough to use a thick orthotic. I tried it but with the insert the protective shell didn't fit my heel. They're listed as running shoes, but I don't run, so to me they're like durable slippers for everyday comfort. Some complain that the 4E is too tight, but the upper stretches perfectly after a few days. The outsole/insole is a bit narrow for the 4E. It seems like they just added a larger upper to the D sole and called it the 4E. But for me this is normal as I have a wide foot in the front and a narrow heel. The heel in 4E shoes is often too wide, doesn't fit me, slips off and causes blisters. I'm normal weight so this might not be the best option for those who need the 4E model because they have a fat foot. But at least with AZ Prime, you can try and return them for free. The Arishi sole does not slip on any surface. Rubber cleats bite into dirt, gravel and turf and won't slip on wet floors. The special woven upper is breathable and my feet don't get hot or sweaty in the summer. Neutral colors and a casual style pair well with neutral khaki shorts and pants. My first issue with New Balance Arishi shoes is that they have several different upper styles but do not adequately describe them in their ads or descriptions. The regular Arishi (V1) has a finely woven upper. The sweatshirt version has a thicker, slightly fluffy upper. In addition, there is another special version, which is a smooth, water-repellent, non-woven fabric upper with no vents, suitable for cold-weather wear. Everyone fits and wears differently. Come on New Balance! Bring it together. I would like to order another color in the exact style my foot prefers but due to poor description I have received Arishi V1 shoes with 3 different material upper. I understand that these are not the 990s, just NB's offering of affordable shoes, but consistency is important when shopping for shoes online. It seems to me that New Balance has not yet adapted their descriptions, style changes, and workmanship to online sales versus in-store sales where the customer can see, touch, and try on the shoes prior to purchase.
