Review on Wheel Masters 7160B1 Cover by Brent Porter

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Looks good but needs to be aligned with the wheel studs to sit fully on my Ford E-350 Class C MH or it might come loose.

Fitted in and held tight. I lost two hubcaps before ordering a third one from here. I have another Wheel Master and it hasn't been dropped. IMPORTANT! The key to these Wheel Masters hub caps, or whatever you want to call them wheel simulators, in my situation is to accurately align the hub cap bolt caps on the cap with the actual nut bolts. Difficult as you have no visual reference. FASHION. So very carefully, starting from the inside of the hub cap, loosen the screw cap from the hub cap. Be careful as there are sharp edges and the screw cover is plastic. This allows me to align the hubcap and ensure the lug nut stud lines up with the hole in the hubcap stud cap. The nut bolt will actually stick out a little bit through the hole. Then use the wheel cap tool to tap the wheel cap against the wheel rim. Thus the hub cap lies completely against the rim. I then snap the screw cover back onto the hub cover. I only have the problem with the front wheels, not the rear wheel. None of this would have been necessary if the hub cap was 3/4" lower.

Pros
  • No bud or split rims (no hardware required)
Cons
  • ill thought out
