I've used this along with wedges and am very happy with its performance and durability. I've been using it for 2 months now and it still looks brand new. 21 foot boat on a single axle trailer, gross weight approximately 4,000 lbs. Where I park my boat and trailer, the front wheel hits a slight incline in the driveway, which is more than enough to send this boat and trailer onto the road. That keeps him very safe. Simply park the boat where you want it and seat it directly underneath before lowering the wheel, then lower it onto the dock. Do not attempt to reverse the boat and run the hoop over it. that's not how it works. Once it's installed, install the wheel chocks and you're good to go. Now that winter has come we sometimes take the boat moored in the carport to relax, have a drink and listen to music. Feels really safe and haven't had any issues.
