I have a home build of an ASUS M3N72-D motherboard on July 25, 2009 with an AMD Phenom IIx4 processor and only 4GB of RAM. Although my ASUS book says it requires up to 8GB of RAM, it isn't. After all 4 2GB sticks were installed I kept getting the blue screen error and the computer kept rebooting. At first I thought that one of the strips I received might be defective, but I tried two of them at the same time and they worked perfectly. Back then I used 2 sticks of 2GB and 2 original sticks of 1GB which gave me 6GB of RAM. This arrangement works perfectly and is much better than the 4GB setting.
