Review on 📀 Dazzle DVD Recorder (Classic Edition) by Paul Beach

I already knew that this is not a plug and play product as Pinnacle claims. What I didn't know is that Pinnacle offers no setup support, refuses to fix issues with tiny output images and poor quality, and, as many reviews suggest, searching for help on YouTube only works if you try to record with gaming platform. Since I wanted to burn old VHSs into digital files that I could import onto DVD (or not, my choice), the hundreds of video tutorials I found on YouTube didn't help much. In total I spent over 5 hours browsing search results and looking for help. Searching forums and tutorial sites was useless as well; Most of them are written for users familiar with advanced audio/video settings. Many suggested buying expensive additional hardware and then skipped the "basic" steps I needed, like which cable goes in which jack. I needed based on my particular VCR. They were familiar enough with the Dazzle capture card to walk me through it after I showed them a high resolution image of the back of my VCR. Unfortunately I have some extra cables that I will probably never need because I bought them at the suggestion of other reviews here or tutorials I've seen on YouTube. My advice to anyone trying to use this with anything other than a video game system is to just buy the Dazzle and then send the knowledgeable folks at Radio Shack a photo of the back of your component (VCR, DVD player, etc.). show and they will sell you exactly what you need and no more. This product would not have been worth the time, money and energy I put into this if I was trying to convert anything other than VHS home videos to create my parents 50th wedding anniversary DVD. It gave me a huge headache and if I ever had to buy VHS to DVD conversion equipment again I would find another product from a different manufacturer.
