Review on ConnectPRO UR 12 KIT 2 Port Switch Cables by Marco Maurer

I have very few complaints about this KVM Switch. Sometimes it doesn't find the mouse and keyboard automatically, but 97% of the time, it detects the keyboard and mouse very quickly. If the other system still reboots, it's best to wait for it to finish. The restart is sufficient for the operating system to recognize that the KVM switch is active. It recognizes the keyboard and mouse much faster than my docking station at work when I first plug in my laptop and wake it from sleep. I used to notice slight halos on the right edge, but now I can't see them even if I look. I have an ATI Radeon 5570 graphics card. The resolution is set to 1920 x 1080. There was no ghosting on the NVIDIA integrated graphics chipset, so I'm pretty sure it's a driver issue. I've never seen ghosting on my laptop. A few mounting screws came loose when I unscrewed the video cables, but I didn't notice any degradation in quality. I wanted to swap it but figured I could live with it. The switch is very easy to use. The colors of the buttons indicate which computer is active. Yellow means active, green means the system is connected, red means the computer is off or not connected. Two USB ports work fine. Do not connect a hard drive to the ports as the switch may mess up the hard drive or its file system which is not a KVM switch fault but rather because I did not remove the drive properly. The tech support that helped me was responsive and courteous. The switch wasn't the cheapest but I tried 2 switches before settling on this one. Overall I was quite happy with it. The switch works very reliably. By the way, the housing is made of metal, which I definitely like.
