Bought a year ago to make my job in the kitchen easier. Finally tried using it to cut potatoes into french fries. It's insanely difficult to put a potato through a slicer. Juliana's blades failed. I ended up with a thick slice of potato with deep ridges instead of continuous cuts. Oh I also managed to cut off the pusher so I ended up with black plastic shavings in my potatoes. As a result, I hand cut it as usual. Unfortunately I've waited so long to use it or it'll be back! But the food slicer is easy to clean and seems sturdy enough. (Maybe I'll try to find the instructions and see if I missed something and try again. I'll update the review if it works better.)
