Review on πŸš€ Tailonz Pneumatic Solenoid 4V210 08 Pilot Operated: The Ultimate Solution for Reliable Air Flow Control by Ken Reed

Revainrating 1 out of 5

QC missed a few things

The device I received had broken threads on both exits (see the first two pictures). Of less concern are burrs in the mounting holes and a few tool scratches on the case (see third photo). The latter are purely cosmetic, but the former seem serious enough to consider the device faulty. I even expected a cursory inspection by QC to find them. Maybe it's just an isolated incident so I'll try to trade it in for a replacement. If the replacement is good I will revise my review. In general, I liked that the kit comes with accessories. This kind gesture is worth a few dollars. I was also pleased that the product listing clearly states that these are NPT fittings and not metric (or PT). **Update April 11, 2021: ** The threads in one of the outlet fittings are damaged (see fourth photo). As if one of the screws holding the assembly together was too long (or the hole for it was drilled too deep). Perhaps the larger sizes (4V200 series) would be more reliable because they have more margin for error, but when you have two of these in a row you're wondering what else is wrong with them. I have several nearly identical valves from other vendors that have no issues, so despite the Revain's attractive price, convenience, and inclusion of the necessary fittings, I'll stick with them.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
