This is a beautiful piece of luggage! I ordered the black one and the surface is super shiny and textured; it looks like it will be good at resisting scuffs. I have been wanting a hardshell luggage but I'm not a fan of the clamshell type opening. The fact that this opens like a traditional suitcase is fantastic and the straps to keep the lid upright is a nice touch. The structure of the suitcase feels very sturdy and I think it will survive the plane trips better than my soft sided ones. Zippers are very smooth, lock mechanism and button works effortlessly, and the wheels roll easily. Please note that the 24" size is actually a little bit over 26" in size, including the wheels. All of this weighing a little over 10lbs is perfect. I would highly recommend this suitcase.Alas, I had to return mine because I realized that the 24" check in size is just too small for me. (My old one is 30", ie the airline max of 62" total of outside dimensions.). Hanke Luggage, if you ever make a larger one, I will be your first customer!
