Bought to catch a thief. My relatives have a small farmers market. Recently someone stole money from his piggy bank (they live in a village and use the honor system). I cut a small hole in the flower pot and put it in there while motion capture is on. Here are a few things I've learned. :one. leadership is your friend. It's a little tricky at first because you're only dealing with two buttons and flashing lights. But once you understand that, it will be easy. Keep the manual in case you forget what to do.2. The included mount (assuming the camera will be fixed in the mount) is utterly useless, especially if you connect the power adapter to it. It kept falling out when I put the battery in. I fixed it by adding a small piece of velcro to the camera and clip and it fixed the issue for me. The stand itself is great because it allows you to get the right angle. But the stand/clamp sucks.3. Pro tip: Don't install the camera where there is constant movement (in my case the wind shook the trees) or you'll end up with a lot of useless files and a full map.4. The ability to connect to an external power source or USB plug is invaluable as the battery life isn't all that great. I wish the field of view was a little wider, but it doesn't matter, I just had to move the camera a little further.6. Since you can't track the recording on your phone, it may take a little trial and error at first. Overall this is a great camera for the price and features. The fact that it comes with a micro SD card, a stand for the angle you want, and the cables you need is great. Many thanks to the company for sending 2 additional emails to check if everything is ok with the product. You rarely see that. And as for the happy ending, the man we suspected of stealing money ended up stealing his mother's credit card and charging her, so she reported him to the police and he's back in jail (he just got out).
