Review on OVERTURE Rock PLA Filament 1 by Victor Garro

Revainrating 5 out of 5

First coil was AMAZING, second coil 5 hours of baking, needed significant adjustments.

I bought 2 rolls to print a large (and 125%) cube tower with a large courtyard. I printed a temporary tower and bank from the first roll, even good prints, everything was amazing. (it was stone grey, if the amazon doesn't say so). I was interested in the negative reviews. Since it was a padlock-like thing and a gift, I figured why not at least try. I typed in a few little things, thinking I'd split up the work and I had a little more. Turns out I could probably print everything from the first roll and promote this stuff and wonder what other people are talking about. In fact, each piece was hard to get off the bed, more than any print job since 2016. Instead, I completed 3 sections with no problems. I then moved on to roll 2. I couldn't get it to stick to the superglue (okay that's sarcasm but I've always tried the bed stick trick, 5 years got me and it wouldn't stick. I ended up changing the Z- Offset to -0.75mm more This pressed it into the bed firmly enough to give me my first elephant foot on the floor, but between that and putting it in the heater (I've never opened it before) I got 6 hours I managed it .The first try was that the v offset was an additional -0.5mm It curled up halfway through the print By switching to the -0.75 offset based on too tight lab testing, a retry could be printed successfully.Remember the ambient temperature of From time to time, environmental changes and other things may cause the bed to rise/roll up, but compared to the first roll, there were many differences in behavior. However, when I learned the secret , printed it very well and the print was beautiful.

Pros
  • 3D printing consumables
Cons
  • Crumpled pack
