I have used many styles, vent clamp, cup holder, suction cup, hook but none of them last long. In the end they failed. Worst of all was the suction, which didn't work in the summer because of the heat. The clip often fell out of the vent. I'm glad I found this. The holder holds my phone in place and I don't have to worry about it falling. The phone can be rotated in portrait or landscape mode. The device is well made and very durable.
