Beaded edge too sharp cuts screen

I installed screens as a summer job many years ago. Back then, all screens were steel and this reel probably would have worked better. The modern screen roll I bought here on Amazon is fiberglass, the first one I rolled cut the screen like a knife. If I was really slow I could install it without cutting, but the edges of the roller are very sharp. I found my old cheap plastic roller and was able to work at full power again. .I've swapped about a dozen screens and the only one that cut me was this metal screen. The tool is well made and I can use it on some aluminum screens, but I don't recommend it for plastic or fiberglass.
