Review on ArmorDillo Strong Carpet Protection Strongest by Will Randles

After much research and based on your advertising we purchased this carpet protector expecting it to be of better quality than the product we are selling. used by Home Depot. Their website states that this product is 2.5 mil thick, that it is made of a stronger plastic than others, that it is equivalent to 4 mil thick film and that it was one of the best on the market. THE BOY WAS WRONG! We shampooed our carpet in our camper 2 weeks ago, let it dry completely with fans and finally had a nice dry day to install it yesterday. Or should I say try installing it. Once it comes off the roll its electrostatic properties stick to ITSELF and it is VERY difficult to work with but after playing with it for almost an hour we wasted 3 strips because it stuck to itself. We managed to install ONE piece in the back carpet area of our RV and we gave up later in the day in great frustration. Continuing the frustrating process this morning when we tested a piece we had installed yesterday, IT WAS NOT STUCK TO THE CARPET AND WAS ABOUT 80% OF THE AREA COVERED! We smoothed it out and tried gluing it AGAIN so we could work on the next strip. We cut off the next piece, but as soon as it got close to the first piece we put down yesterday, it got caught (again, electrostatic attraction) on the original strip, and when we tried to remove it, we ripped the original piece off the carpet, so I had to start from scratch! This product (advertised as 2.5 mils thick but 4 mils caliper) appeared to be much thinner so I took out my micrometer and was surprised to find it was 1.5 mils thick which would explain why it tends to stick to itself once you pull it off the roll. However we cannot use this product, have already opened it up and tried using it on our carpet but to no avail whatsoever and decided to go back to Home Depot and 24 inch rolls of 4 mil TRUE carpet sheeting to buy and finish this project so we can use our camper this weekend. We are REALLY disappointed that this didn't work. We've spent a whole day using this flimsy product and want to know what you're going to do to offset our expense and wasted time trying to work with a clearly mis-advertised product.
