The description said these cups were see-through, which you might think, clear, colorless and see-through. Everything was not clear. They seem to fit well at first, but after opening and closing one of them while watching a movie, that closure wasn't as tight. I tested the mug under hot water from the sink and was able to wash it. They aren't powerful enough to boil water for true disinfection, the lids are deformed so they can't be properly disinfected if you intend to use them more than once for things that need to be microscopically clean. I microwaved one with liquids for 3 minutes. The plastic didn't melt, but burned your hand through the plastic. Also note that the plastic became very pliable and it took very little pressure for the plastic to bulge inward and hot liquids to spill onto my hand. For general storage, it's fine if you don't need to see the content clearly and are willing to label it. For keeping food cold they were perfect but then again if you don't mind opening the lid to see clearly what's inside. I sent them back and am still waiting for a refund. I needed them to be clear as stated in the distinction of what I wanted to use them for. Transporting venomous arachnids and other venomous inversions can be risky, especially if you can't see where the animal should begin when you open the lid. Only one star due to the inconsistency in the company's description of the product and for this reason it did not meet my initial requirement and expectation. However, for the other things I mentioned, I'd give it a 3 if that's what I really need it for.
