Review on RAMPAGE PRODUCTS 8660 Taillight 1976 2006 by Michael Robinson

Easy to install, it all depends. . .

First of all these are very nice cases that look good. However, it seems to be taking much longer than I expected to install them. And remember there are right and left covers, be sure to install them on the right side. The difference between the two is the very low flex of the back panel. Therefore, to install it, you must disconnect the light from the wiring harness in order to pass the connector through the hole in the back panel. The connector for the headlights is located in the body cavity behind the rear wheels. You have to pry the plastic on the bottom of the jeep and reach into a tiny gap with both hands, up to your elbows, grope for it, and you'll know it turn off without even seeing it. Then, of course, as soon as you install the light upside down. Not as trivial a task as the covers I put on my last Jeep, which had a notch you could run a wire through. Yes, the tailgate opening rubs the top edge of the light a bit. Let's see how it scratches the paint.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
