I've had Coby for 3 months now. It takes about 30 seconds to load, which isn't a big deal to me. It plays the movies displayed on it very well as long as they appear in the player list. And that's my biggest beef I've got with it. Some MPEG2 files will play and some won't, even if they're recorded from the same source. I have no idea what he likes about some of them and dislikes about others. So I convert them to mpeg1 and they all play, weird hmmm. The picture quality is excellent. The screen is bright and the colors are vibrant. Once you get used to the controls, it's pretty easy to get around. I wish it had a remote control. The battery life is excellent. I can watch 2 movies without charging. The music player seems to work fine. But I only have about 200 songs. I use it 4 movies more than music. Overall I'm happy because I got it at a bargain price. But to fix jams, firmware is definitely needed.
