Dead pixels, shorted display port, power is passing through the cable

This is the second monitor I've bought from Amazon and while it looks great with a good stand, unfortunately the display gets very hot around the display ports. The picture has been cropped out many times. After disconnecting the video cable from my GPU, I got electrocuted from the display cable, which was only connected to the monitor. I cannot recommend this monitor. I will. I'm really. but no. Do not do that.
