After installing them on your truck, you can no longer drive it normally without a check engine light. After 1 hour of driving in 95 degree weather, the coolant only reached 165 degrees, generating an engine fault code that reads "Thermostat faulty". These thermostats prevent the engine from ever reaching operating temperature. The only time they worked was when I was towing an 11,000 lb camper to the beach. Even at 11,000 pounds, the coolant temp only reached 190. I also tow a 20 foot, 5,000 pound enclosed trailer every weekend. The engine light also comes on when towing a closed trailer because the engine is not running too hard. I wouldn't recommend them unless all you've ever done to your truck was 8000+.
