I bought this screw hole thread repair kit for my Yamaha Cruiser. The aluminum cylinder blocks are screwed on as hard as butter and quickly gave way to me, a 200-kilo gorilla with a 1/2-inch torque wrench and an outdated service manual. You know what they say, keep twisting it until it's tight and then loosens up, then back it off a quarter turn and hand it to the next guy. The set was very easy to use and the tools included were of high quality. Constructed of hardened high-speed steel, the drill easily drills an aluminum bolt hole, requiring very little feed rate and force, making accurate drilling easier, especially with a hand-held cordless drill. The tap was also of good quality, with a beveled tip that makes centering easier. There is no square spanner wrench included, but I prefer a 1/4 ratchet socket to hold the taps and any good stocked shop will have these tools handy. I used cutting oil to lubricate the faucet. Coils are easy to install with the tool provided. If you tap the threads properly, the bobbins will screw in and hold tight. I wish the kit included tweezers or a magnetic stick to remove the stem from the coils after stamping. I was working on the engine crankcase and had to make sure I removed all the stems or risk damaging the engine. The original screws are screwed in directly, as if the spools had standard threads. I have repaired 4 crankcase bolt threads and they have all been excellent. For the money this kit is definitely worth it, a great repair kit to keep in the store for those "Oops!" moments. I highly recommend this product. Now you need to buy a smaller torque wrench.
