I have owned and used the 8x7 version for about 6 weeks. It's a well made item and fairly lightweight. For the beach, it's intended use, works great. Stakes are included. Just stake it down and you have a clean, sand free spot. A simple shake is all it takes to remove any sand at the end of your beach day. The entire blanket packs down into a small pouch.This would also be good for a survival "bug out bag" as I have tried it out as a tarp shelter.with a little creativity, works quite well. Is this a piece of ultra lightweight, ultra durable extended hiking gear? Nope. That said, for the price point, you cant beat it. Something to keep in your vehicle for emergencies? Definately yes. At this price, it's worth ordering a few. Youll find many used for this item. I would purchase again.
