These are attractive boots that provide good protection for your feet and ankles. They’d be great for hunting, but I use them for hiking in the mountains. The first thing you notice is how lightweight these boots are! That’s great for preventing fatigue when you’re going to be spending several hours on your feet.The 7-inch designation in the product headline almost threw me off. I thought that was the length of the boot and not the size 12 I need. But no: that’s the height of the boot. The laces are strong and the eyelets and hooks seem well made, so that’s what gives your ankles and lower leg the support.They say these are waterproof as well, although I haven’t had the weather to test that yet. They did come with extra insoles, and these are soft foam. I need robust arch support, so I added thin but flexible carbon-based orthotic insoles.They are comfortable, the camo pattern is good-looking, they’re lightweight and… recommended.
