But when turned on - nothing; That does not work. I sent it back to Revain and received a new unit the day after UPS collected the defective item. I installed it, turned it on and it worked. I put the air purifier on a closet instead of on the floor so the cool clean air is directed towards me while I sleep. It changed the sense of space and reduced allergy symptoms. I run it at high speed; the noise of the fan is barely audible; it's more of a background hum. I haven't had to clean or replace a pre-filter yet; it works continuously for 30 days. I am very happy with this air purifier.
