I bought this Arduino starter kit to have some fun projects, to introduce my young son to what technology can do besides things like TV, and to show some real world coding applications. This is a well built starter kit if you are interested in learning Arduino. The kit contains all the parts to work with the supplied manual (on CD). So if you want to take another "course" you should additionally buy other parts that you may need specifically for that (transistors, diodes, stepper motors, etc.). to what you will find in this set. You'll find everything you need to get started - Arduino, expansion board, LEDs, jumpers, a selection of sensors, inputs/outputs, LED indicators etc. It was packaged beautifully - I'm amazed it all fits in so well!
