This is a great idea for a toy.

This is a great idea for a toy. Love the concept - tree, stack, blocks, shape sorting is a great way to mix and match activities for endless fun. The problems lay in the processing quality. There were holes everywhere, the pieces of wood didn't fit together, there was a chemical smell, and the paint was peeling off on your fingers in one spot (probably not set correctly). I suspect the first two won't make much of a difference once baby is older, but it's suitable for developing toddlers who still put things in their mouths often. I don't think an older kid would enjoy it. (My son just turned a year old.) I wish I could find exactly the same toy made with vegetable dyes and no formaldehyde glue.

Pros
  • Colored figures correspond to large blocks with figure holes for sorting.
